On this week's US slot on Off The Ball, we wanted to examine Bill Simmons, one of the most popular voices in American sports media, who has been let go by ESPN.

If you follow American sport in any way, you will have encountered his work, from humble origins as a columnist on AOL in the late 90s.

He has built the hugely successful BS Report podcast, driven the 30 for 30 documentary series and the much-admired Grantland website.
