Donnacha Ryan is a major doubt for Munster’s Heineken Cup quarter final clash with Toulouse, although he has not ye been ruled out of contention for the tie at Thomond Park. The second row is suffering for a foot injury.
There is more positive news aside from that, as Damien Varley and team captain Peter O’Mahony are both expected to be fit for the game. O’Mahony was a late withdrawal from last Saturday’s game against Leinster, with a hamstring twinge, and he will undergo a modified training schedule this week.
Ulster are free of any new injury worries ahead of the visit of Scarlets to Ravenhill on Saturday. Outhalf Ruan Pienaar is still carrying a shoulder injury but he is confident of shaking it off ahead of Saturday’s game.
