As leaving Manchester United during the summer, Ryan Giggs could be set for a return to the Premier League.

Giggs spent three seasons at Manchester United as a coach and assistant manager. The stint included four games as a caretaker manager, where he won two games, lost one and drew the other.

According to The Telegraph, Swansea City have lined up the Welsh legend to replace Francesco Guidolin. Sources revealed that the Italian manager is a "dead man walking".

Guidolin took charge in Wales last January, guiding the team to Premier League survival, but this season has seen the team struggle. The Swans are currently in 15th place, having failed to record a Premier League win since the opening game of the season. The team were also knocked out of the EFL Cup this week by Manchester City.

If Giggs were to take over, he would be the most inexperienced manager in the English top-flight, but not the youngest. The 43-year-old is older than Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe.

Swansea have struggled to score in their opening five games, with only Leroy Fer and Gylfi Sigurdsson finding the back of the net so far this season in the league. Their next three games are at home to Manchester City and Liverpool, followed by an away game against Arsenal.

Those three games may hold the key to Guidolin's future, and open the door to Ryan Giggs.
