The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has given Russia some of its drug testing duties back, ending two years of complete suspension.

Its staff were accused of helping cover up state sponsored cheating in 2015 - since then, UK Anti-Doping's been filling in.

It'll continue to supervise as Russia's agency starts to "plan and co-ordinate" drug testing in the country.

"While there is still more to be done, WADA recognizes this milestone as a key component of the Roadmap towards compliance," said Sir Craig Reedie, President of WADA.

"After much work by the Agency and its partners, resumption of testing represents an important step forward in rebuilding anti-doping in Russia. We strongly encourage Russia to continue their efforts in the interest of clean athletes worldwide."
