Nico Rosberg emerged from a drama filled Monaco Grand Prix to earn his second career win. The Mercedes driver led from the start, through a safety car delay and a red flag stoppage, following two heavy accidents.

The Red Bull duo of Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber finished second and third respectively, with Rosberg’s teammate Lewis Hamilton coming in in fourth spot.

Adrian Sutil of Force India was fifth, with McLaren’s Jensen Button sixth.

Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso had a disappointing afternoon, eventually finishing seventh.

Vettel now leads the championship by a margin of 21 points from Kimi Raikkonen, and 31 from Fernando Alonso.
