Rory McIlroy believes his putting is improving as he savoured his first win on the PGA Tour in 2016.

An excellent final round gave him victory at the Deutsche Bank Open.

He produced a final round of 65 to finish on 15-under-par, overtaking England's overnight leader Paul Casey, who finished two-shots behind.

After question marks about his putting in recent times, the four-time major winner is confident that he is on the right track.

"It feels comfortable but as I said, it's still a work in progress. But obviously I've seen some really good signs this week and I'm really encouraged going into the last part of the season," he said.
