Brendan Rodgers has admitted that Luis Suarez may captain Liverpool at White Hart Lane on Sunday.
Liverpool travel to face Tottenham without injured captain Steven Gerrard, who is out until January with a hamstring problem, and with regular stand in Daniel Agger not a certain starter Rodgers may offer Suarez the chance to lead the side.
Gerrard was injured during Liverpool’s win over West Ham United and Glen Johnson took the armband that day, however Johnson is not a definite to take the role again from the start on Sunday. When asked about the potential for Suarez to assume the responsibility Rodgers refused to rule it out, saying:
"Would Luis be ready? 100%, absolutely. We will have to wait and see what my decision is at White Hart Lane. You'll see then."
