Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has been singing the praises of young full back Jon Flanagan following his first goal for the club in yesterdays 5-0 win over Spurs at White Hart Lane.

That win means the Reds are just 2 points behind leaders Arsenal at the top of the table.

Suarez’s two goals put him on 16 in the league this season while Henderson, Flanagan and Sterling added the extras.

Don’t forget Flanagan is Irish qualified and Martin O’Neill is said to be interested however yesterday performance may have increased his stock with England for whom he represented at under 21 level.
