Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has been charged by the Football Association for comments made about a referee following their Boxing Day defeat at Manchester City.
Rodgers pointed out that Lee Mason was from the Greater Manchester area, though later clarified that he was not questioning the integrity of the match official.
Rodgers had been angered by a number of refereeing decisions during the game, including an offside decision concerning Raheem Sterling.
