BBC have backed Ricky Gervais' new 'The Office' spin off film which will depict events that occurred after the series ended.
The comedian and actor will be bringing back his infamous 'The Office' character David Brent, almost ten years after the TV series last aired on the BBC.
The highly anticipated film, entitled, Life on the Road, follows Brent on his journey to become a famous musician, but of course veers towards inevitable disaster.
The film, which is currently still in development, will explore what became of Brent after he was made redundant from Wernham Hogg and will be filmed in a similar 'mockumentary' style as The Office.
In the series, David Brent was a sales representative selling cleaning products but always dreamed of being a rock star and will embark on his own self-financed UK tour in the new spin-off.
The film is set to go into production next year.
