Rassie Erasmus was relatively pleased after Munster drew their opening game of the Champions Cup 17-17 with Castres on Sunday. 

Speaking to Off the Ball's Dave McIntyre after the match and asked if his side were lucky to leave with a draw, the Munster Director of Rugby said: "Yes, they missed a kick and we missed a penalty when we could have gone ahead so yeah - we'll take it. Luck sometimes also counts so yeah - we'll take the two points.

"I think there's room for improvement but, you know, it's an away game and we've got the two points. You do get a lot of pressure when you're here - there's a lot of intensity out there so definitely not the greatest performance but we've got two points. 

"We weren't on song today when it came to attacking. I thought we defended pretty well - we did concede two soft tries but we weren't firing on attack. It's definitely something we'll have to work on.

Asked about the form of Tyler Bleyendaal, Erasmus said: "He was taken off because of a neck injury...I think defensively Tyler was really good. With this wind it was tough to control those kicks - some of them went dead.

"His goal-kicking was actually spot-on today so yeah, game management wasn't great but normally when that isn't great, it's the platform you get from the pack of forwards so a lot of stuff to work on but we wouldn't like to win the tournament in week one!" he added.
