Arsene Wenger hates the international break and he'll be left scrambling for a new adjective to describe his disdain for those types of fixture after Jack Wilshere was ruled out for six weeks.
The England midfielder picked up the foot fracture last night against Denmark, but as Arseblog's Andrew Mangan told Off The Ball tonight, the return of Aaron Ramsey will help cushion the blow.
"Perhaps the upside for Arsenal is that Aaron Ramsey is very close to a return. Then the manager doesn't necessarily have any kind of decision to make about how to bring Ramsey back into the team because he just goes straight into it with Wilshere out. Ramsey's been a big miss. Someone showed me a video recently and he was involved in almost everything good that Arsenal did. And since he's been out of the team, they've slowed down. It's like someone took the battery out."
Mangan feels the next few weeks will "define" Arsenal's season and ranks this weekend's FA Cup quarter-final against Everton as vital because it represents the best chance of a trophy and keeps the "feeling alive".
Mangan also discussed the impact German fans' booing of Mesut Ozil could have on his already fragile confidence.
