Racing Metro say that they intend to retain Jonathan Sexton up to the end of his contract.

Following speculation that the IRFU would consider trying to bring the Ireland and Lions out-half back to Leinster after just one year with the Top 14 side, Sexton has insisted that he remains committed to the French club.

Racing head coach Laurent Labit has insisted today that they fully intend to hold onto Sexton for the length of his deal, which has one more year to run with the option for a further season.

"Jonny feels great in Paris. We want to keep him. Everything that we read in the press makes us laugh," said Labit at today's press conference.
