The decision on when to hold the 2022 World Cup in Qatar will most likely not be made until at least the start of next year.
The tournament is currently scheduled to be held in June and July, when local temperatures can reach 50 degrees Celsius.
A FIFA consultation is looking into possibilities of switching it to the winter.
The head of the task force Sheikh Salman Bin Ibrahim Al-Khalifa told Inside World Football that they still have to speak to a lot of partners, which means a decision is not likely before "the first quarter of 2015".
