Argentina"s Juan Manuel Leguizamon says Argentina are better prepared for Ireland than ever before. The flanker believes the squad"s extra time together, through competing in this summer’s Rugby Championship, has made them a sharper and more unified outfit than in previous years.

"We spend more and more time together. It’s been three months together, from July to end of Rugby Championship, then back to clubs for four weeks, we are back together now… more you play together, more you know each other, more the movements are well done- definitely that helps.”

Leguizamon met Newstalk"s Oisin Langan today and he also told him how competing against Australia, New Zealand and South Africa has helped push them to a higher level, “It’s always good to play against the best three teams in the world...that helps.”

This year was the first year of the Rugby Championship, effectively the Tri-nations with Argentina permitted entry to expand competition to four teams. The teams played each other home and away and, although they lost 5 of their 6 games, Argentina gained valuable experience against top class opposition.
