The tragic death of Prince has caused shock waves throughout the world, but nowhere more so than in his home city of Minneapolis, Minnesota.

57-years-old at the time of his death, the singer was one of Minneapolis' most famous sons, and his influence even seeped into the local sports teams.

Baseball's Minnesota Twins use the singer's 1983 song 'Little Red Corvette', in their dressing room to welcome new players into the squad. After Prince's death, the club released a video of some players doing their best impersonations of the top-ten single.

Such was his influence on the team, the Twins turned Target Field purple on the news of the singer's passing.
