Sunderland boss Gus Poyet may have the unusual situation of facing his 19-year-old son in the Premier League tomorrow.

Nineteen-year-old Diego Poyet plays for West Ham and he's in their squad – having returned from his loan spell at Championship side Huddersfield - for the trip to the Stadium of Light.

But Gus insists he won't be talking to Diego until after the match, while adding that there’ll be no compromises in this conflict of family interests.

Hammers boss Sam Allardyce has an intriguing selection call to make, but said, “He (Diego) is in the squad but we haven’t talked about that yet.”
