Portumna have won their fourth All Ireland club hurling title after seeing off Mount Leinster Rangers by an eight point margin.
The Galway side were strong favourites ahead of the decider at Croke Park and ran out comfortable winners against the Carlow debutants by a score of 0-19 to 0-11.
But it was Mount Leinster Rangers who raced into an early lead, heading Portumna by 0-3 to 0-1 after nine minutes.
However, with the help of Joe Canning points - he would score 0-10 in total - Portumna rallied to take a 0-9 to 0-5 half-time lead.
Portumna kept Mount Leinster at arms length throughout the second half and the Carlow side had Edward Coady sent off in the closing stages as Portumna sealed a fourth title in eight years.
