There's a lot of hype about Lionel Messi these days, and most of it not far off justified. But there are limits.

Portugal's leading sports newspaper, Record, has given Benfica's defenders a confidence boost before tonight's Champions League group stage match against Barcelon by completely ignoring those limits.

They haven't quite depicted Leo Messi as a deity but they have compared him to a kind of other worldly being- one not of this planet- on their front page.

None of that "it's 11 v 11 out there" nonsense here. Oh no.
