Sunderland missed April Fools' Day by just a few hours, but last night the Black Cats confirmed Paolo Di Canio as their new manager.
There has already been drama over the move, as board member and MP David Milinband left the board in protest at Di Canio's openly Fascist political views.
But it will be matters on the field that will concern fans. Di Canio has signed a two and a half year deal but Sunderland are just one point above the relegation zone with seven games to go and a tough run of fixtures to come.
The Italian's previous management experience came at lower division Swindon but do you think he can keep Sunderland in the Premier League?
