Chris Froome has extended his lead in the Tour de France after a dominant display in the Pyrenees yesterday. The Team Sky cyclist won the stage to La Pierre-Saint-Martin and finished just under a minute ahead team mate Richie Porte.

Geraint Jones finished the stage in sixth place and he joins team leader Froome in the top five on the general classification.

The win was met with a mixed reaction yesterday from fans, with many comparing Team Sky's dominance to that of US Postal in the early 2000's.

Lance Armstrong took to his twitter account yesterday to give his thoughts on the performance of Froome and his team.

Do you think cycling has turned a corner or is the sport still battling drug use?
