Lukas Podolski is to fly to Milan ahead of securing a loan move to Inter Milan.

The Arsenal forward has found himself on the fringes of the first team, especially since the arrival of Danny Welbeck.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger had initially described Inter's interest in the German World Cup winner as "farcical" but yesterday suggested that a deal may happen as the Italian side improved their bid.

This week, Podolski also took to Twitter in order to dismiss a tabloid story that had claimed that he had stormed out of training.
