Clare's Podge Collins will play both inter-county football and hurling next season according to report.

According to The Clare Champion, the player will resume dual status after stepping away from the hurlers to concentrate solely on football this year.

At that time, hurling boss Davy Fitzgerald would not permit dual players in his panel, but it is believed that his stance may have changed.

Collins is currently recovering from a cruciate injury and will miss the early part of the year.
