We rate the Irish team as they looked to build on last week's historic win over New Zealand.
Tiernan O'Halloran - 8
Enjoyed an excellent night's work and was rewarded for his efforts with two tries. Almost pulled off a try-saving moment in the corner in the second half. Will be better for the experience
Craig Gilroy - 7
Solid outing from the Ulsterman if not spectacular. Showed his pace when making a break out wide in the first half and looked for work throughout the match.
Garry Ringrose - 8
Played with the confidence of a veteran on his debut and made several incisive breaks throughout the game. Unlucky to have a try ruled out but will get plenty of chances in the future to open his account.
Luke Marshall - 7
Finished off an overlap to score in the corner. Then gave away a sloppy pass in his own 22 to get Canada back into the game. Interesting to hear what Schmidt makes of his display.
Keith Earls - 8
Had an enjoyable battle with his opposite number from the off. Nipped in in the corner to open Ireland's account.
Paddy Jackson - 8
Picked up from where he left off in an Irish jersey after his displays in South Africa. Kicked, ran and guided his team around the park.

Kieran Marmion - 8
Provided quick ball for his backline and enjoyed a comfortable night's work. Scored an opportunist try but really has his pack to thank for it.
Cian Healy - 8
Scrummaged well as part of a dominant Irish unit. Industrious around the park and made a couple of big hits.
Sean Cronin - 8
Filled in ably for the captain. Hunted for work throughout and even cleared from the 22 at one point.
Finlay Bealham - 8
Played his part in a dominant pack and put in a couple of crunching tackles early on.
Ultan Dillane - 9
Brilliant display from the Kerryman and was a worthy winner of the man of the match award. Rounded off his display with a try in the second half.
Billy Holland - 7
Industrious around the park and played his part in his pack's solid display. Overshadowed by his second-row partner though but will benefit from the experience.
Peter O'Mahony (captain) - 8
Good to see the Munsterman back in green. Led admirably in the absence of Best. Put his hand up to be in contention next weekend.
Sean O'Brien - 8
Like his captain, played well despite a long international absence. Will be looking to get in the match-day squad next weekend after missing the chance at history in Chicago.
Jack O'Donoghue - 8
Showed his class at the back of the scrum as well as in open play. Probably won't be involved next weekend but could feature against Australia.
Replacements:
James Tracy - 7
Try-scoring debut will give him a huge boost in confidence. Didn't look out of place when he came on and is one for the future.
Dave Kilcoyne - 7
Came on for Healy and picked up where his compatriot left off.
John Ryan - 7
Another one for the future. Looked composed as he made his debut and thrived in a dominant pack

Joey Carbery - 7
Picked up the baton from Jackson and kept the backline moving. Will be disappointed to to have missed a couple of conversions.
