The actor is a producer on 12 Years A Slave, which has Chiwetel in the lead role.

According to Brad, the 36-year-old’s performance blew him away.

"It was an amazing performance by Chiwetel Ejiofor - I think one of the best I've ever seen,” he told Entertainment Tonight.

The 50-year-old also had high praise for Lupita Nyong’o, Chiwetel’s co-star in the film.

Brad was hugely impressed by Lupita’s work, especially as she is just breaking out into the industry.

“It's her first film and she's just incredible,” he gushed. "For me this is a once-in-a-decade event. It's a very special film and it just shouldn't be missed.”

The World War Z star went on to share his passion for the film, and why he thinks people should watch it. According to Brad, the story is universal and inspiring.

“It's this inspirational story of a man trying to maintain his self and his dignity, and get home in the midst of inhumane circumstances. I find it incredibly inspirational," he added.

Chiwetel is just as appreciative of Brad, saying no one else could have made the film. The British star believes having him involved made all the difference.

"It just goes to show what an individual could do when they have that kind of reach and they're prepared to use it to support filmmakers,” he previously told E! News. “I'm deeply grateful to him for allowing this film to be made."
