Like the dinosaurs, another global predator will bite the dust this summer.

Alas, the Adidas Predator range of football boots will no longer be in production as the German sportswear giant looks to launch new ranges of sporting footwear.

The brainchild of former Australian footballer Craig Johnston, the Predator range became hugely popular since its inception in 1994, going through many forms like the Predator Accelerator (1998), Predator X (2009) and last year's Predator Instinct. 

And as pictured below, David Beckham clutches the 2002 pair dubbed the Predator Mania.
