Rory McIlroy has yet to confirm whether he will play at next week's US PGA Championship at Whistling Straits or not.

The Northern Irish golfer was forced to miss The Open as a result of the ankle ligament injury which was inflicted during game of football.

The World No 1 has posted pictures of his damaged ankle from the last few weeks on Instagram today with the line "I've come a long way since."

 

4 and a half and 3 and a half weeks ago respectively... I've come a long way since.

He also posted a short video of him practising with a driver.
