Anyone who saw Bastian Schweinsteiger's during last year's World Cup final knows he is a warrior of the highest order.

But as he intimiated in his first official interview as a Manchester United player, that gutsy performance at the World Cup (when he had already come into the tournament a little way off his physical peak) did mean he missed the first few months of last season.

Looking back on his record and taking out suspensions and other absences, the German midfielder has missed his fair share of league games through injury for Bayern Munich in their recent 34-match campaigns:

Schweinsteiger missed the first 11 league games of last season for Bayern on the back of the World Cup and missed a large chunk in the middle of the 2013-14 campaign, partly due to a tendon issue.
