Earlier today, Ireland captain Robbie Keane confirmed that he underwent surgery on both of his Achilles tendons in London.
The 33-year-old had admitted last week that he could require surgery to repair the problem that has been hampering him for several months.
Keane has already ruled out going on a loan spell with a Premier League club in January as he focuses on his recovery.
