If it's good enough for LA Galaxy, it's good enough for Crumlin United.

Robbie Keane retired from international football on Wednesday evening after Ireland's 4-0 win against Oman. He scored his 68th, and final goal for Ireland in the first half of the win.

Ahead of the game, Keane's current club LA Galaxy placed an ad on the front page of The Irish Times congratulating their captain on an excellent international career. Not to be outdone by their counterparts from across the Atlantic, Keane's boyhood club placed an ad in The Irish Independent, along the same lines, while having a light-hearted dig at the MLS side.

Keane will return to Los Angeles in the coming days to return to club action with the Galaxy.
