Professional Footballers Association chairman Clarke Carlisle has strongly criticised Rio and Anton Ferdinand for not supporting the Kick It Out anti-racism campaign.
The brothers, as well as several other high-profile players, chose not to wear T-shirts issued by the group last year. Carlisle labelled those who opted to take the stance with a strong expletive - "s***houses" - in his autobiography.
He added: "Big players happily throw in a grenade but do nothing when it explodes".
