The fourth and final golf major of 2018 tees off on Thursday at the PGA Championship at Bellerive Country Club.

It's a significant milestone for the tournament with this year's being the 100th and ahead of it, Golf Weekly's Joe Molloy and Nathan Murphy were joined by Peter Lawrie and Damien McGrane for a special live show at Carlow Golf Club.

Rory McIlroy's fortunes are interesting many, so could he end his major drought end here?

Due to the course being a "long hitters' paradise", Lawrie is backing McIlroy to be in contention.

"Rory was hitting it 400-odd yards last week was one of his tee shots. He's going to be right up there," said Lawrie.

"Justin Thomas, can he win again after last week's heroic win? Dustin Johnson hits the ball a long way."

As an outside bet, Tony Finau is Lawrie's tip to potentially make a strong impact.

McGrane also made some interesting remarks about what actually makes a great caddie, moving the argument beyond stereotypical expectations of the role.
