Tipperary's Peter Acheson has relocated to Dubai and incidentally, that's where the GPA/GAA All-Stars tour is based over the next few days.

Liam Kearns has been detailed to manage the 2016 All-Stars, meaning has had a few opportunities to meet Acheson in person and try to formulate a plan for next year that would allow Acheson line out for his county team.

It seems that those attempts could yet produce a positive outcome.

Acheson was a revelation for the Tipperary footballers this year, culminating in an All-Star nomination with many arguing that he was unlucky not to get one of the midfield spots on the All-Star team.

Following Tipperary's exit from the All-Ireland championship at the semi-final stage, Acheson told Off The Ball's Oisin Langan that he was bound for Dubai for the next two years, and that he 'might take the boots back out at some stage.'

Members of the Irish media have travelled along with the All-Star tour to Dubai and speaking to Acheson, there may still be a chance that he could play for Tipperary next year.

"I can’t see myself going home in the next two years. It’s hard to put into words, it’s a great place out here. So, unless something goes wrong, I’d say we will be here for a couple of years anyway."

"He’s (Liam Kearns) been on four or five times already. We’ll talk tactics maybe in the new year but look I’m enjoying it out here so I don’t think I’ll go home anytime soon."
