One of the greatest rivalries tennis has ever seen was renewed last night as Pete Sampras and Andre Agassi squared off in an exhibition match in New York.

The two legends were at a sponsors event in Greenwich Village with Roger Federer, Serena Williams, Rafael Nadal and Maria Sharapova ahead of the US Open which begins next Monday. 

Sampras and Agassi won 22 Grand Slam titles between them. They played each other nine times in Grand Slams with Sampras winning six of the matches.
