Bayern Munich should be a happy place at the moment. The reigning European champions are clear at the top of the Bundesliga after hammering Borussia Dortmund away and have also reached the Champions League knockout stages.

But the story of a dressing room mole leaking team tactics to the media has darkened the mood at the Allianz Arena.

Manager Pep Guardiola has already come out and said that the perpetrator will never play for the club again.

While Rafa Hongistein told us that Pep is unlikely to find a single mole, the issue does not seem to be dying down.

Tonight, Ger spoke to Graham Hunter about the former Barcelona manager's determination to root out the mole.

Graham thinks it will be the first big test of Pep's rule but as he explained, it is a problem he faced before at Barcelona when young winger Christian Tello inadvertently revealed that he would be starting the last El Clasico of Pep's reign in a 4-3-3.

"Pep's decision to break his own rules and tell the players the team on the Saturday morning of the game - he used to tell them 70 minutes before each match - saw the tactics leaked and the finger of blame pointed at Tello who was so excited that he phoned his Mum who told a neighbour and then reached the papers. Guardiola was very angry because he is very remorseless about detail."

But at Bayern, it is a potentially wider issue because Guardiola is still in the bedding in phase in Bavaria.

Thus it is a "direct challenge to his authority" and comes amid an atmosphere where unnamed Bayern players have "doubted" Pep according to Graham, which means the ramifications of Guardiola's response will be important.

Graham also touched on Real Madrid's midfield in the wake of Sami Khedira's long-term injury which you can listen to in full on the Off The Ball Football Show podcast and also includes Dan McDonnell on the Irish match-fixing revelations.
