Pep Guardiola has been the Bayern Munich coach in-waiting for quite some time but today he was finally able to face the media as the Bavarians' new manager.
In a press conference surrounded by much fanfare, the former Barcelona boss was unveiled to fans and the media.
And in his first press conference, which he attempted in German, he fielded questions from the media.

Among the points he made:
- He confirmed that he would not impose Barca's philosophy or formation on Bayern, citing the need to adapt to the current squad's attributes.
- He said that the Champions League holder chose him rather than the other way round.
- Guardiola claimed that he was happy to take on an ultra-successful side like Juup Heynckes' Bayern, despite the added pressure this entails.
Guardiola will take his first training session on Wednesday.
