Manchester City have confirmed that Manuel Pellegrini will join up with the club on their tour of Asia, after returning home to Chile following the death of his mother.
The new manager was absent as huge crowds welcomed City to Hong Kong from South Africa, but hopes to be back with the squad tomorrow.
Assistant Brian Kidd will take charge for their match against South China on Wednesday.
