Nottingham Forest confirmed the appointment of Stuart Pearce as their next permanent manager.

The former England U21 and Manchester City boss will take charge on July 1st.

A former captain at Forest, Pearce had originally turned down the job due to family reasons.

Caretaker boss Gary Brazil will remain in the charge of the club until the summer.

Forest are seventh, just two points outside the promotion playoff spots.
