Despite the speculation earlier that Toulon had cooled their interest in Paul O'Connell, this evening the owner has confirmed that he is indeed making a move.
French newspaper Midi-Olympique reported that "an old shoulder injury" was worrying the European champions.
According to RTE News, Toulon owner Mourad Boudjellal confirmed that O'Connell had signed a two-year deal at the French club.
O'Connell who was released by the IRFU and Munster a year before his contract was due to expire.
It was expected the the Limerick native would spend the final years of his career at Toulon before becoming a coach.
