Paul Dunne is five shots off the lead on 5-under after day two of the Alfred Dunhill Championship in South Africa.

South Africa's Brandon Stone has risen to the top of the leaderboard on 11-under after carding a 66.

Fellow South African Charl Schwartzel is one shot off Stone on 10-under after a 68. He shares a tie for second with England's Chris Hanson.

Dunne and Schwartzel had shared the lead on 6-under after Thursday's opening round.

But the Irish golfer could not build on that in his second round.

Despite one birdie in his front nine, to bogeys meant he slipped back before a balanced back nine that saw him card two bogeys and two birdies.

A 73 leaves him in a tie for 19th.

Northern Ireland's Michael Hoey is 4 under after a 71.

Ireland's Jack Hume is on 10-over.
