Andrew Johnston has won the Spanish Open.

The Englishman finished 1-over par after hitting a final round of 70.

It is the first time he has won a European Tour event.

Meanwhile, Ireland's Paul Dunne finished 9-over par in a tie for 16th, also with a final round of 70, which means he earns official prize money of € 27,000 for the event.

Peter Lawrie finished the weekend 17-over par in a tie for 53rd.
