Pat Fenlon is delighted with how his Shamrock Rovers side bounced back from their defeat to Derry City to thrash Bohemians.

After a 3-0 loss at Derry last time out in the Premier Division, they answered their critics tonight with a 4-0 humbling of their derby rivals at Dalymount Park.

"I think football is like that. You have up days and down days and it's how you bounce back. The lads have bounced back really well. Great credit to them because they were disappointed last week. We know we let ourselves down last week but we've made up for that I think," he told Newstalk Sport after the match.

Although they did win by four goals, they survived a few early Bohs chances before Gary McCabe gave them the lead seconds before half-time.

"It was a typical Rovers-Bohs game. There wasn't much in it early on and they probably had the better chances. Simon [Madden] made a great block on Akinade. Then once we scored the first goal, the game opened up," he added.
