Crystal Palace are hopeful Manchester United will allow them to hang on to Wiflried Zaha for one more season.
The 20 year old winger signed for United in January, for £15m, but was loaned back to the Selhurst Park club for the remainder of the season. Yesterday afternoon Zaha helped Palace back to the top flight as they defeated Watford 1-0 in the playoff final at Wembley. It was a run from Zaha, ended illegally by Marco Cassetti, which brought about the crucial spot kick, coverted by Kevin Phillips, in extra time.
Ian Holloway was asked if he would contact David Moyes to ask for another year with the young winger playing in the red and blue of Crystal Palace. "I think he'd be silly to give me him back to me. But you never know, now that we're up it might be realistic. We'll see," Holloway said.
