Padraig Harrington remains in the hunt at the Valero Texas Open after his third round 68 left him just four shots off the pace heading into the final day.

Seven birdies and three bogeys dotted the Irishman's card, leaving him tied for 6th behind outright leader Ricky Barnes.

A third consecutive below-par round leaves him with some in a strong position to catch the former US amateur champion, while Luke Donald, Billy Horschel and Patrick Reed are within touching distance of the leader.

Donald was one of yesterday's big movers, also carding a 68 and this effort on the 12th was among the day's best shot:
