Northern Ireland international Paddy McCourt looks set to return to his home town and re-join Derry City.
The 32-year-old played for the team between 2005 and 2008, before joining Celtic. He began his career at Rochdale, before a brief spell with Shamrock Rovers earned him a move home to Derry.
In his spell at Derry he won the FAI Cup in 2006, and was also on three winning League Cup sides. The League of Ireland title remained elusive despite two second-place finishes.

McCourt played for League Two side Luton Town last season and had another year left on his contract but was released by the club to return home to Northern Ireland.
Luton manager Nathan Jones revealed the McCourt asked to be released so he could return home to his family. "Paddy has had to face up to some personal problems in recent weeks and at the end of the season he came to me about his future and it was soon clear to me that he wanted to return to Northern Ireland to be closer to his family and to play there again."
"It wasn’t a straightforward decision for me – Paddy has done well for us, but in the end we reached an agreement and he goes with my blessing".
McCourt has played 18 times for his country, scoring two goals. Both came in the same game against the Faroe Islands, with the second goal being one that wont easily be forgotten.
