Meath advanced to the Leinster semi finals after after a 2-19 to 3-12 win over Wicklow in Navan yesterday. Mick O'Dowd's side now go on to face Westmeath in the provincial semi finals on June 28th. 

The home side started the game stronger were on course to continue their fine form over Wicklow in the Leinster Championship. They had not been beaten by Wicklow since 1957 in the Provincial Championships.

Meath led by eight points early in the second half and looked on course for a comfortable route to the semi finals before Conor McGreynor scored two goals for Wicklow from the penalty spot to reduce the gap to two.

Andrew Tormey top scored on the day in Pairc Tailteann, scoring 1-9, including two points late in the game to win by four. Wicklow ended the game with 13 men as Dean Healy and Paul Cronin saw red.

Graham Reilly scored 1-4 in the game for Meath. The St. Colmcille's star spoke to LMFM after the game.
