Dublin came so near but a point at the death from TJ Reid gave Kilkenny a 0-17 to 1-14 draw in their Leinster semi-final clash.

Dubs boss Anthony Daly focused on the positives after the pulsating game.

"We got a lot of stick for the first night against Wexford and it was well deserved because we didn't hurl well. But we're improving every game. I thought we hurled quite well last Saturday night against Wexford (replay) and it was a good eight point win," said Daly who believes his panel will recover in time to put in a similar performance in next Saturday's replay.

"I felt we were due a big performance today but our hurling was still a bit shy of what we can do. It'll be a massive test and every will say our chance has gone. But we'll come out and deliver our best again."
