The 'Lord of the Rings' and 'Pirates of the Caribbean' actor is the 2,251st person to get the honour.
The 37-year-old actor’s son Flynn, 3, was on hand to support his father.
Guest speakers at the event included actor Forest Whitaker and director David Leveaux, who directed Bloom in the Broadway production of Romeo and Juliet.
