Just one Irish player has made the cut for the weekend field at the Alfred Dunhill Championship in South Africa.

Kevin Phelan finished just inside the cut off point on 1-under par after a round of 71 today left him tied for 63rd.

But Damien McGrane dropped three shots across his final three holes to finish on level par alongside Michael Hoey

Peter Lawrie carded a 6-over par 78 today to finish on 2-over par.

South Africa's Branden Grace leads the field by 5 shots from 16-under par after a round of 66 today.
