Ireland manager Martin O'Neill will reportedly impose a Twitter ban on his players during match days following James Mc Leans latest public spat.
The ex Sunderland winger called the Belefast Telegraph a " bitter sectarian paper" after one of his friends posted an article via tweeter about rebel songs being played on the team bus before the World cup qualifier between Ireland and Northern Ireland in 1993.
The paper labelled McClean as a "turncoat" in 2011 for choosing to play for Ireland rather than the North.
O'Neill has been clear about his views on social media in the past saying: "Just ban them! Simple."
McClean was embroiled in social-media related controversy last year after he was left out of the 2- 1 win against Kazakhastan.
O'Neill's side play Poland tomorrow in a friendly and will be without Joey O'Brien who is injured.
Ahead of the game keeper David Forde is being linked with Celtic as his contract with Millwall is up at the end of the season, the Bhoys are expected to lose England keeper Fraser Forester at the end of this year.
